How to use the Avatar Creator (Living Avatars) PDF Print E-mail
After you register at Five and Dae, and you earn some Ducats by posting messages, you can start to create your own unique avatar. Go to Avatar Options in the menu above the forum.

You have opened the Living Avatar section. This is where you have the choice to edit your avatar or to buy new items for it. If this is the first time you open this, the avatar will be blank and you will have no items to put on your avatar. So first you go to 'Purchase Item'.

Avatar edit and purchase page

This is where you decide if you want to start with a female or a male base, as well as the skin tone. Your avatar can be anyone you want it to be, so choose what you are comfortable with.

Click on the folders of your choice and browse the contents. You will see how much each item cost. Each item has a name, based on what it is for. If it starts with Sebi, it is usually meant for a boy base. If it starts with Sebina, it's for the girl base. If it starts with Seb it can go on either. Actually, the hair and the shoes fit on either base as well.

After you have spent all your Ducats, you can go and edit your avatar, to dress it up. Click on an item under the avatar canvas, where the items are that you just bought. Click on the button 'Add Item'. The item you selected is now on the canvas. If you click on it, you can drag it around on the canvas, while holding the mouse button down. Repeat this with the items you want on the avatar, and drag them around until they are arranged as you want them. You can use the other buttons to help you, by bringing items to the top layer ('Bring to Top') or have them go down a layer. We advise against using the left, right, up and down buttons as this may freeze your avatar.

When you are satisfied with the position of the items, click on 'Crop Tool'. This will add a special item to the avatar canvas, which allows you to save your avatar in the size the forum will show: 185x135 pixels. If you do not use the crop tool, your avatar will look stretched. Last, click on 'Save Avatar' to save your avatar as a picture.

You can purchase items and edit your avatar whenever you want. But be careful what you choose to buy, as you can not return items.
